Our Vision

The Kundalini Rose Garden is a portal to awakening, love, harmony and creativity – a place where Kundalini energy rises, individually and collectively, as we co-create a new Earth.

The Divine Mother is the mysterious cosmic womb, the essence of wholeness, birthing all of creation and a new paradigm for life on Earth. We revere the Goddess and saints in her many forms: Pachamama – Isis – Durga – Tara – Mary Magdalene – Black Madonna – Sophia – Prajnaparamita and so on – honouring her infinite expressions of compassion, beauty, magic and fierce protection.

We embrace the healthy feminine ways of creativity, flow, devotion, pleasure, honouring nature and her cycles. Alongside this, we honour the healthy masculine, recognising the value of presence, protection and clarity. Just as a river needs strong banks to guide its flow, we believe that healing arises through a healthy balance of energies, where strength and softness, structure and flow support one another in harmony.

This is a sanctuary for those yearning to mend broken hearts and weary spirits – those experiencing bereavement, separation, exhaustion, trauma or recovery.

This is a call to remember who we are, restore right relationship and weave a healthy balance between yin and yang energies – within ourselves, with one another, with the rest of creation and across the world-wide web.

Beneath our many identities, beliefs, cultures and paths, we recognise that we are part of one living web of consciousness. As the Buddhist teacher Lama Lena says:

“We’re all in this together.”

Beyond Patriarchy:

If we consider patriarchy as a system in which resources, decision-making and power have predominantly been concentrated in the hands of men, it has shaped much of human society for approximately 5,000-7,000 years.

Earlier cultures often embodied more egalitarian and matrilineal ways of living, reminding us that patriarchy is not an inevitable feature of human existence.

Our intention is not to reject men or the healthy masculine, nor to replace patriarchy with matriarchy. Rather, we seek to dissolve toxic systems of domination, inequality, war and separation, while championing the healthy feminine qualities of compassion, creativity, cooperation, intuition and care within us all.

By restoring balance between feminine and masculine energies, we hope to help create a more peaceful and life-affirming world.

Who is the Kundalini Rose Garden For?

We recognise that many sensitive souls feel overwhelmed by the suffering, injustice, conflict and disconnection they witness in the world. The Kundalini Rose Garden seeks to offer a sanctuary of nature, beauty, healing and authentic connection – a place to lay down our social masks, reconnect with our deeper nature, and replenish ourselves so that we may return to the wider world feeling fortified, inspired and resourced for life.

The Kundalini Rose Garden is for those who feel called to live more consciously and compassionately – for healers, artists, seekers, changemakers and kind-hearted misfits who long for deeper connection with themselves, with one another and with the living Earth.

How the Vision Began

The seeds of Kundalini Rose Garden were planted at a festival in southern Portugal in 2023. During a blindfolded trance dance following breathwork and Kundalini activation, Sue Holmes received a powerful vision of a dome-shaped temple, together with a simple message: “Build a temple.”

She saw the name ‘Kundalini Rose Garden’ and sensed that it would one day become a home for many paths of holistic healing, creativity and spiritual practice.
